![]() ![]() Like do we really need 2 handicaps on console? ![]() What I wasn't prepared for was being nerfed through the floor on the characters that I've popped 100+ hours into and not being able to hit opponents with any reliability. I was expecting the handicap of having opponents with better aim than I'm used to (based on them using mouse and keyboard), and I'm totally fine with that since that's based on their skill, not mine. Me and a couple PS4 friends played with my friend on PC for the first time and instantly noticed how terrible the handicap was. ![]() I genuinely think it's something you just have to accept. They realized that by making one big console pool they would positively impact queue times and made competitive play on console more dynamic because of the larger player base. It's simply not going to change.Ĭrossplay was made moreso to increase the size of the console pools and less to let people play with their buddies. While I understand it's just quickplay many people do not feel that way about quickplay. You are having to make sacrifices to participate with PC players as many PC players consider aim assist to negatively impact the integrity of the game. It's not intended to be the standard way to play the game. On top of that I think that you are well aware of what you are getting into when you queue with a PC friend, and Blizzard made it very obvious. As I said earlier aim assist is considered unacceptable to many PC gamers and many would even go so far to consider it cheating. They would lose their minds if they had aim assist in their matches. I'm not a quickplay player and am completely unaffected personally but I can assure you that there are tons of PC quickplay players and that most of them treat QP like they're in a top 500 match against a NYXL three stack in 2018. You would likely cause much more conflict by putting aim assist into PC lobbies than there is now by not having it. Aim assist is largely considered unacceptable in the PC gaming community. ![]() It's a shitty answer but I don't think that they should do either thing you suggested. Please Blizzard this game is practically unplayable when grouping with PC players. This is only going to result in console players getting flamed by teammates and having a miserable time, and will essentially lead to almost no console and PC players playing together.Īt this point Blizzard either needs to either remove PC and console quick play all together or, preferably, give console players aim assist against PC players. There's hardly a point to playing with your PC friends if you're on console. With so many heroes relying on tracking and aiming in general, lacking aim assist has put console players at a severe disadvantage. It is far easier to track with a keyboard and mouse than it is to do so with two sticks. Not having aim assist on two sticks makes you severely handicapped against PC players. I don't know of any other shooters that do this, but feel free to correct me in the comments below. With the addition of cross play comes the bizzare decision by Blizzard to disable all aim assist, both enemy and friendly, for console players when playing against PC players. I understand most players here are on PC and thus won't have this newfound experience. My laptop is shit and I can't run OW well on it, so I play on console. ![]()
